Sue Garland
Associate Pastor
sueg@rolchurchmn.org Sue leads Children’s Church, Sunday School, and Wednesday evening Youth Group at River of Life. Sue teaches what it means to follow Jesus. She graduated with a B.A. in World MIssions from St. Paul Bible College, which is now Crown College.
Sue also helps with Women’s Bible Study and volunteers with Envision, a group ministering to refugees. But more than anything, she tries to share Jesus with anybody she encounters in everyday life. Sue says her biggest calling is being a wife and mother. She is married to Dan Garland for 34 years, and they have five children. She also has four grandsons and one more grandchild on the way. “It has been my greatest joy and privilege to raise my children to love Jesus and to follow after him,” she says. Sue’s life verses are: Acts 20:24 However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace. Proverbs 3:5,6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; Matthew 6:33, 34 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own |
